The roof was evidently a vault made up of corbelled brickwork that was plastered and perhaps also cribbed inside with wooden ribs and crosspieceson the analogy of an earlier rock-cut chaitya of the same plan . मेहराब में भीतर की और लकड़ी से आड़ी तिरछी आधार भित्ति-सी बनाई गई थी.जैसी कि चट्टान काटकर बनाए गए एक पूर्ववर्ती चैत्य में भी विद्यमान थी .
